SEND Teaching Assistant - Autism & Sensory Needs (Lewisham)


A specialist school in Lewisham for pupils aged 5-16 with autism and sensory processing difficulties is recruiting a SENDTA. Pupils require support with transitions, emotional regulation, and sensory diets. You'll work in a structured classroom with OT input and a strong pastoral team.

Training provided:

Sensory integration, autism awareness, and safeguarding.

The Role: SEND Teaching Assistant



Provide one-to-one support for children with social, emotional, and mental health needs Help pupils build confidence, regulate emotions, and access learning Implement personalised behaviour strategies Work closely with teachers to monitor progress and share insights Create a calm, nurturing environment that promotes well-being and engagement
