SEND Teaching Assistant- Islington
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a small, specialist school in Islington offering bespoke education for students with a wide range of complex needs. Key Responsibilities:
Support students with complex needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and trauma
Work 1:1 or in small groups on personalised learning plans
Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour support and daily routines
Liaise with therapists, families and staff to ensure consistent and effective care
Promote student independence, confidence and progress in a non-judgemental, therapeutic environment
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working in alternative or specialist SEND settings
Trauma-informed and able to build trust with vulnerable young people
Calm, grounded and resilient with a child-centred mindset
Understanding of multi-agency working and holistic approaches
Willing to engage in ongoing reflective practice and training
