is seeking an experienced and resilient

SEND Teaching Assistant

to join their team. You'll be working

1:1 with a pupil presenting SEMH and communication needs

, helping them regulate, engage and thrive within the school day.

This is a role for someone calm, consistent and confident in their ability to build trust and connection. Whether you have previous experience with PECS, Makaton or Team Teach -- or have supported learners with autism, ADHD, or trauma -- this is a chance to make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing:



Supporting a child 1:1 with a bespoke learning and behaviour plan Helping manage emotional regulation, transitions and routines Collaborating with the SENCo, class teacher and therapists Implementing communication tools (e.g. PECS, visual schedules) Creating a safe, nurturing space for the pupil to feel valued and understood

What We're Looking For:



Experience in a SEND/SEMH setting

(school, care, youth work, etc.) Strong communication and de-escalation skills Ability to maintain boundaries with warmth and consistency Knowledge of PECS, Makaton or Team Teach desirable but not essential A reflective mindset and the resilience to show up every day
