Due to some SEND funding, an additional temporary position has become available at Nyewood CE Infant School for a highly adaptable person with excellent communication and proven support skills to become part of our warm and welcoming Christian school.
Nyewood CE Infant School is due to join Bishop Luffa Learning Partnership on 1st September 2025 and therefore, the listed post is for a position within the Bishop Luffa Learning Partnership and not within West Sussex County Council.
We are looking for a very special person with a positive approach to behaviour management and willingness to support as part of the team. The role will be across the school with children that have additional needs on a 1:1 or small group basis. The post will be under the guidance and support of our Key Stage Leaders and Inclusion Manager. You will be supporting all areas of the curriculum and will be part of a friendly and supportive team of teaching assistants. This post may also involve a daily midday meal supervisor shift.
Ideally, candidates should have experience in a school environment, working with children in the Early Years and/or Key Stage 1. A qualification at NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent would be an advantage. You will need to enjoy working collaboratively and have good communication and organisational skills. We are looking for somebody who is passionate about the post, has a flexible approach to work and is committed to meeting the needs of the pupils in our school.
