SEND Teaching Assistant

Justteachers is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work within one of our partner Special Education Needs (SEN) schools near Skipton that provide support to pupils aged 2-16 with SEN. This position is to start in ASAP with shortlisting currently taking place.

The successful candidate will have but not have essential experience working with children in a SEN, school, or nursery setting. You may also have experience working with children or adults with complex needs in a care setting.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Providing tailored support to meet the individual needs of students with additional educational needs. Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities. Supporting students in developing independence and social interaction skills.

You will have the following:

Teaching assistant level 1,2 or 3, Health and social care qualification or equivalent (But not essential) Has experience working with children or young people with SEND in an educational or care setting Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
