We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in St Leonards who are seeking a dedicated
SEN Teaching Assistant
to join their team on a long-term basis from January.
This role involves supporting pupils with additional needs across KS1 and KS2, working both 1:1 and in small groups. The school has a strong SEN provision, a proactive SENCO, and a clear, consistent approach to supporting pupils' learning and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be calm, patient, and confident supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing consistent 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Supporting engagement, emotional regulation, and confidence
Implementing strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher
Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
Essential requirements:
Previous experience in an SEN or support role within a primary setting
Enhanced DBS
Up-to-date safeguarding training
Pay:
89 per day
, paid weekly
