The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to support autistic learners across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You'll work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to deliver personalised interventions that promote communication, emotional regulation, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Implement EHCP targets through structured, engaging activities
Use PECS, Makaton, sensory tools, and visual schedules to enhance learning
Foster a calm, predictable environment that supports emotional wellbeing
Collaborate with families and therapists to ensure holistic support
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children with autism and complex SEND
Knowledge of inclusive practices and behaviour regulation strategies
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
