SEND Teaching Assistant
to join a dedicated team supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated learning, communication and interaction challenges. The role is based in the L25 area of Liverpool.
About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils across the age range (3-19) with a range of SEND, ensuring access to a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum.
Work collaboratively with class teachers, therapists and multi-disciplinary teams to implement individualised learning and therapeutic strategies.
Promote pupils'
academic progress, specialist therapeutic support and development of life skills
in line with the school's ASD-informed philosophy.
Assist with structured and holistic interventions such as sensory circuits and communication support.
Support positive social, emotional and behavioural development within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally including Autism and associated learning differences.
Be committed to high expectations for all learners and to working collaboratively with colleagues and families.
Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt support to individual pupil needs.
Demonstrate patience, resilience and a reflective approach to practice.
