Fable House is an independent provision in Huddersfield supporting students aged 11-21 with complex autism profiles, including demand avoidance and long histories of educational trauma.
We are looking for multiple Candidates, part time and full time roles can be discussed

We are looking for a thoughtful, adaptable and emotionally attuned SEND Tutor to join our specialist team.
This post is focused on working with our KS4 and KS5 learners, many of whom have had long periods out of education or experienced multiple placement breakdowns. You will play a key role in delivering Functional Skills English and Maths as well as our creative, project-based curriculum, alongside supporting students through therapeutic interventions led by our qualified professionals.

Plan and deliver
Functional Skills English and Maths
to KS4 and KS5 students, adapting content for varied and complex needs

Essential
Desirable
Experience working with students with complex SEND, including autism and demand avoidance
Ability to teach Functional Skills/GCSE or equivalent English and Maths
Understanding and application of trauma-informed practice and P.A.C.E.
Experience with project-based or creative curriculum delivery
Emotionally resilient and able to respond with curiosity to behaviour
Reflective, relational, and values-driven
Maths and English C/4 or above at GCSE or higher
Experience in specialist or alternative provision
Relevant teaching or tutoring qualification
Training in therapeutic approaches or mental health
Familiarity with EHCPs and SEN support planning
Experience in a therapeutic or recovery-based model
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Experience with project-based or creative curriculum delivery
