Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our finance team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine financial statements and reports.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and financial statements.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing.
Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles, tax and financial reporting.
Proficiency in SAP preferred but not required and MS office.
Preferred but Not required (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPA)

Employment Condition
VISA: Work Visa Holders of a visa that allows them to work legally in the UK
Annual Salary: From ?40,000 ~ 50,000 a year
Recruitment : Full-time after 6 month probation period (can be extended if the performance were not satisfied)
Holiday: 32 days (24 days plus 8 UK Bank Holidays)

Roles and Responsibilities of the Accountant
1. Financial Reporting:
? Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
? Generate periodic financial reports for management and stakeholders, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
? Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
2. Compliance and Regulation:
? Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
? Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with HMRC requirements, ensuring all deadlines are met.
? Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits, liaising with external auditors as needed.
3. Accounts Management:
? Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
? Reconcile bank accounts and general ledgers regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
? Monitor and manage company cash flow, including forecasting future financial positions.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:
? Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
? Provide financial analysis to support budgeting decisions, including variance analysis and cost control measures.
? Work closely with department heads to understand budgetary needs and constraints.
5. Taxation:
? Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax laws.
? Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise management on potential impacts.
? Manage payroll tax reporting and ensure accurate deductions and filings.
6. Financial Analysis:
? Perform financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and investment appraisal.
? Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to improve business performance.
7. Month-End and Year-End Close:
? Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
? Ensure all financial records are accurately updated and that the financial close is completed on time.
8. Software and Systems Management:
? Utilize SAP systems and MS Excel for daily financial operations.
? Maintain and improve financial systems, ensuring they are efficient and meet the company's needs.
? Train and support team members in the use of financial systems and tools.
9. Audit Support:
? Prepare all necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
? Address auditor queries and provide explanations for financial data and processes.
? Implement audit recommendations and improvements, as necessary.
10. Continuous Improvement:
? Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.
? Stay updated on best practices in accounting and finance, implementing changes as needed.
? Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance accounting skills and knowledge.
