Overview

We are a group of three companies based in Thanet and North Kent seeking an experienced

Senior Accountant

to deliver a full accountancy and tax service. This position reports directly to the Managing Directors and offers a varied and responsible role within a growing group.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end statutory accounts Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Manage the general ledger, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll review Produce management accounts Produce cash flow forecasts Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Prepare and submit VAT returns Prepare corporation tax and personal tax computations and returns Manage payroll services Support ad hoc advisory work and projects as required Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with management to support strategic financial decision-making. Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements Support the month-end and year-end close processes Supervise and support bookkeeping staff, review work for accuracy and compliance Oversee all accounting processes

Requirements

Strong background in accountancy practice, with experience in accounts preparation, tax returns, management accounts, and VAT ACCA/ACA fully qualified, or qualified by experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Exposure to exporting rules and regulations (Mainly Dubai) Experienced in possible tax planning
