We are looking for a
qualified Senior Accountant
to join our friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play a key role in managing and developing the financial operations of a business with a growing property portfolio. You will work alongside a senior accountant and accounts assistant and take ownership of a wide range of financial responsibilities that support day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle
bookkeeping
and financial record maintenance
Preparation of management accounts
and cash flow forecasts
Budgeting and variance analysis
across a range of property assets and development projects
VAT returns
and other compliance reporting specific to property transactions
Assisting in the preparation of
statutory accounts
for year-end reporting
Supporting
audit processes
and liaising with external accountants where required
Payroll administration
and ensuring accurate monthly submissions
Managing
credit control
, monitoring rent roll, and chasing overdue payments
Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy in all financial records
Reviewing and processing supplier invoices, service charges, and contractor payments
Providing financial insights to support property acquisitions, sales, and refinancing deals
Requirements:
A recognised qualification in bookkeeping or accounting
A minimum of
2 years' experience
in a similar accounting role
Proficiency in
QuickBooks
(experience in property or real estate accounting is a strong advantage)
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple property entities
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn more about the property investment sector
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small office team
