Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our small but expanding Accountancy Practice based in Chipping Sodbury. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in preparation of Limited Company and Sole Trader Accounts along with their relevant Tax Returns from incomplete records. This role requires a proactive individual who can mentor junior staff and contribute to the future success of our Practice.

Duties

Review work completed by other team members. Mentor younger team members. Assist younger team members with questions regarding their work. Assist the Practice Director with answering emails and client queries. Preparation of Limited Company / Sole Trader / Partnership Accounts and Tax Returns where necessary.

Qualities

This role is predominately to carry out work review, assist with client queries and team mentoring so the ideal person will have the following qualities

Patience. Understanding. Ability to be clear and concise in their explanations. Ability to nurture talent Attention to detail

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified or QBE Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage (desired but not essential). Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A minimum of 8 years experience in an Accountancy Practice preparing Accounts and Tax Returns for Small Owner Managed / Family Business'.
