Enough about us, what's the role?



We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Payments team. Reporting directly to senior management, you will oversee the financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

You will be responsible for managing two Payment Administrators, maintaining financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting

What's involved?



Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate financial records and transactions Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and reports for senior management Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and FCA requirements Manage and mentor two Payment Administrators, overseeing their workload and professional development Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies Ensure financial systems and controls are robust, scalable, and fit for a growing organisation

What are we looking for?

Fully qualified or finalist in ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent (preferred) Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a financial services or brokerage environment Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience Excellent leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a team High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in financial software and Excel Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external stakeholders

Base salary: competitive, dependent on experience (44,000 - 50,000 per annum) Working pattern: 09:00 - 18:00, 5 days per week, Monday - Friday 20 days annual leave + 8 national bank holidays + 1 additional day off for your birthday
