We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting software, with the ability to oversee complex financial processes. Duties
Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
Utilise various accounting software programmes such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and specialised financial management tools to maintain accurate records.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Skills
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of financial services and financial management principles.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Demonstrated mentoring capabilities with a focus on developing team members' skills.
Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes and financial accounting tasks.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
