Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounts preparation, corporation tax returns, personal tax and training junior team members.

Duties

Prepare financial statements and corporation tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Utilise accounting software such as Xero for efficient financial management. Dealing with clients and supporting them with their businesses. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accountants, fostering their professional development.

Experience

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within an accountancy practice. Or recently progressed from a semi-senior role. Proficiency in accounting software including Xero is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff effectively. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. AAT level 4 as a minimum qualification. ACCA. or ACA desirable.
This role is a 32 hour week, but a full time wage, finishing at 1pm on a Friday, with hybrid working.
