Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial management and accounting software, with a proven track record in financial services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards while also providing mentorship to junior staff members.

Duties

Oversee and manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management. Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies. Mentor junior accountants, providing guidance on best practices in financial management and reporting. Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments to company practices.

Experience

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential. Significant experience in a senior accounting role within the financial services sector is preferred. Proficiency in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Demonstrated experience in mentoring or training junior staff members is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks undertaken.
