The successful candidate will work closely with clients and colleagues to produce accurate financial information, including management accounts, year-end accounts, Corporation Tax computations and quarterly VAT returns. You will also support ongoing improvements in systems and processes as the business continues to adopt new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly management accounts.
Prepare and submit Corporation Tax computations and returns.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Process payroll, including FPS submissions and P11Ds.
Handle day-to-day client enquiries by email, phone and in person.
Support the development and enhancement of internal systems and technology.
Essential Requirements
Part-qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA?AAT student or QBE.
Experience working in an accountancy practice.
Experience working with manufacturing clients.
Ability to produce accurate and timely weekly and monthly accounts.
Strong IT and ERP skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience using
Xero / Sage
accounting software.
Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under
FRS 105
and
FRS 102
.
Ability to prepare draft Corporation Tax computations and returns.
Ability to prepare and submit VAT returns.
Confident in client interaction both remotely and face-to-face. Also, comfortable in working at client site.
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience using Sage50, QuickBooks or TaxCalc. ( Training will be provided)
Experience in payroll or personal tax return preparation (to provide cover where needed).
Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly Urdu, Gujarati
