APC Accountancy Limited are a well-established accountancy practice, known for providing high-quality service and trusted advice to a diverse portfolio of clients. With continued growth and an expanding client base, we are now seeking an experienced
Senior Accountant
to join the management team and step into a key role, providing support to the Practice Manager and Director.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant from a practice background who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and contributing to the management and development of the company.
You will support the day-to-day operations of the practice, supervise team members, and work closely with the Practice Manager and Director to ensure smooth workflow, quality client service, and continuous improvement of internal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
Preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax computations
Supporting and reviewing the work of staff, providing guidance and training
Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
Assisting the Practice Manager and Director with workflow management, client onboarding, and process improvement
Supporting business development activities and helping drive the company's growth
About You
You will be a proactive, reliable, and professional accountant, confident in your technical ability and equally comfortable mentoring colleagues and liaising directly with clients.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
ACA, ACCA qualified/part qualified or studying, or have developed a career entirely through experience, with:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Experience reviewing the work of others and providing constructive feedback
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks
Experience with cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, Quickbooks or similar)
