We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing practice. This role will involve managing a diverse portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, overseeing the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services, and leading a team of staff.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with leadership skills and a commercial mindset.
Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, ensuring deadlines and service levels are met.
Act as the main point of contact for client queries, offering proactive tax and business advice
Review statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns prepared by the team
Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns where necessary
Contribute to practice development, including new business generation and client onboarding
Support partners with strategic initiatives and internal projects
Play an active role in shaping the firm's future as part of the leadership team
Experience
A professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is preferred but not essential
Proven experience in an accountancy practice is essential
Familiarity with accounting software such as Iris, Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is highly advantageous.
