Senior Accountant (Temporary) - Accounting firm
Hitchin, Hertfordshire
20.00 - 23.00 per hour (PAYE)
Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded and well-established accounting firm based in the heart of Hitchin that are now seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who is immediately available and able to commit to the assignment until the end of September.
Role Requirements -
Preparation of year-end statutory accounts under FRS102-1A and FRS105 for a varied portfolio of clients utilising CCH software.
Computations for associated corporation tax returns CT600 in line with HMRC requirements
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns to the HMRC.
Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries promptly.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
Person Requirements -
(ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with at least 4 years' experience in a similar senior/client accountant role working for a reputable UK based firm.
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax, and VAT
Experience in an accountancy practice environment is essential.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Highly proficient in the use of CCH, XERO, Quickbooks software
Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
