MGB Accountants are a small, friendly accountancy practice based in South Gloucestershire who, due to continued growth, are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and proactive team in a relaxed but professional working environment.
Responsibilities:

Preparation of year-end accounts for a range of small to medium-sized businesses. Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns using Iris. Assisting with book-keeping, VAT returns and management accounts using packages such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Excel. Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance and support where needed. Liaising directly with clients to gather information, resolve queries and build strong relationships. Supporting the director and Client Managers with ad hoc work and planning assignments
Key Attributes of the candidate:

AAT qualified or qualified by experience. Strong background in general practice, with good knowledge of basic accounting principles. Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Iris preferred (training can be provided as needed). Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Hours: Monday - Friday - 37.5hrs, start & finish times can be flexible. Although the role is office based as a whole there can be some flexibility for working from home at times.

Location: Thornbury or Wotton-under-Edge office in South Gloucestershire. This will be discussed at interview.

Salary - c32, plus bonuses depending on experience.
