Senior Accounting Manager (fixed Term Contract)

Job Description

Here at UPP we have an opportunity for an interim Senior Accounting Manager to manage the provision of financial control across the UPP group including SPV companies, with particular focus on completion of the year end process and the Group Statutory Audit.
This is a Fixed Term Contract until the end of January 2026, and based in our award-winning London office. Our hybrid working policy of 2/3 days in the office enables a good balance between working from home and the office.
Role responsibilities include:Produce statutory standalone and consolidated accounting packs, and review externally produced statutory accounts for group entities ensuring consistency with Group accounting policies. Prepare calculations and reconciliations for technical accounting areas and liaise with auditors to achieve successful sign off. Maintain a timetable of SPV reporting and compliance deadlines and ensure adherence to timetables, including submissions, within the quarterly management accounts (monthly in house). Manage monthly and quarterly operational and management accounts processes including variance analysis, cash flow, profit and loss statement and balance sheet. Ensure full bookkeeping and accounting records are maintained including purchase ledger, sales ledger, general ledger and cash books. Assist in the production of SPV Board reports Ensure accurate reporting that is consistent, and system driven to provide ad hoc analysis and workings. Assist the Head of Finance Systems in creating efficiencies through the further development of existing finance systems and their integration into other business systems. Proactively look for process improvement opportunities beyond what is already established - and look to maximise the use of our Workday system and its functionality.

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accounts Manager with experience of:Preparation of financial statements Valuation and disclosures related to financial assets and liabilities under IFRS and FRS102 Cash flow preparation Advanced Excel skills Knowledge of consolidation eliminations would be beneficial
