What will you be doing?



The Senior Accounts Assistant will support with the supplier payment processes, to ensure invoices are paid on time and in line with supplier agreements and are required to solve routine problems and be a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will be proficient in the role with professional knowledge and expertise and will be responsible for sales ledger management: ensuring that transactions are entered accurately and promptly, in line with agreed policies and processes. You will make recommendations for continuous improvements to ways of working or processes and may deputise for the manager as needed.

About you



You will be studying towards, or be willing to study towards a foundation qualification in accounting eg AAT. Experience and competence in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel) with a willingness to learn further IT packages as required Experience of, and competence in, using a database and accurate data inputting Sales Ledger and accounts receivable experience in a fast paced environment where you have processed high volumes of transactions Knowledge and experience using computerised accounting systems (we use Access Dimensions but can cross train) Strong IT knowledge, including experience of using Microsoft office suite
