Rossendale Hospice are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our team, based at the Hospice in Rawtenstall. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial compliance across the Hospice and through working closely with all of our departments, CEO & Treasurer to maintain rigorous cost control and budgeting processes.
Key Responsibilities and attributes include:
proven experience in a senior Finance role
previous experience of Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll
collate and process monthly payroll and expenses
the ability to process all types of financial entry, invoices, receipts, payments, journals etc.
preparation of monthly management accounts with narrative analysis
reconciliation of all balance sheet items
preparation of the annual budget and year-end accounts including liaison with external auditors and Treasurer
professional accounting qualification (e.g.: ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) is essential
strong organisational skills, demonstrated leadership capabilities & ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
extensive knowledge of financial services and accounting principles
effective communication and interpersonal skills
proven ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams and the Board of Trustees
excellent attention to detail with a commitment to data analysis and reporting
