What you'll be doing

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst within our Portfolio Insights team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our Specialty portfolio. You'll be responsible for delivering analytical insight that directly informs underwriting decisions and supports the achievement of our strategic objectives. Working closely with the Lead Actuary, you'll help drive the team's agenda, ensuring our work is aligned with the wider Group and Cycle Management priorities.

You'll contribute to segmentation reviews and performance monitoring, translating data into actionable recommendations that support robust cycle management. Your insight will help identify opportunities and mitigate risks, enabling the Specialty underwriting team to make confident, informed decisions. You'll also provide consultancy support across reserving, pricing, planning and reinsurance purchasing activities.

Collaboration is central to this role. You'll work across teams to share knowledge, contribute to group-wide projects, and ensure our work is both outcome-focused and proportionate. You'll help foster a culture of feedback and inclusion, and you'll be encouraged to challenge complexity, streamline processes and simplify delivery wherever possible.

This is a role for someone who thrives on making a difference - someone who's ready to bring their actuarial expertise to a team that values curiosity, clarity and collaboration.

We welcome everyone wholeheartedly

We've got a truly diverse, genuinely inclusive work environment. We comfortably and confidently bring our whole selves to work, because we know we'll be respected, valued and accepted whoever we are. Our Employee Resource groups are safe spaces for people to share their experiences, aspirations and suggestions about how we do things.
