Job Introduction

C Grade: 22.5 hours per week


We are looking for an enthusiastic, welcoming and well-organised Senior Administrative Assistant to join our small office team and contribute to the day-today running of our busy school.This is a key role within our school where you will be the primary point of contact for parents and visitors. Good customer service and a friendly face for our parents is very important to us. Flexibility is essential, together with the ability to be pro-active and demonstrate excellent communication skills.


We are looking for someone who:

Brings a positive, approachable attitude, good telephone manner and a good sense of humour, contributing to a warm and welcoming office environment. Can remain calm under pressure, manage multiple priorities effectively, and meet deadlines. Shows initiative and communicates with confidence and clarity, building strong working relationships across the school community. Builds positive relationships with children, supporting the ethos and values of our school. Supports the organization of school trips and events, working closely with staff to ensure smooth planning and execution. Understands Health and Safety procedures, including managing risk assessments, coordinating training, and maintaining compliance. Is dedicated, reliable, and hardworking, with a strong team ethic. Maintains a high level of confidentiality and is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Is willing and able (with training) to administer first aid and support children with medical needs in a calm and reassuring manner. Is confident with IT

Desirable

Has an understanding of Attendance and will issue penalty notices according to policy and procedures or is willing to learn (training will be given) Brings experience in school administration, with a strong understanding of day-to-day office operations in an educational setting. Has working knowledge of key systems, such as IBC/SAP and Arbor, or is eager to learn and have a secure knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Possesses a creative flair, with some understanding of marketing, advertising, and the use of websites and social media to promote the school. Understands 'school life' and has a desire to contribute and be involved in improving and developing our school offer Can source enrichment opportunities, trips and visitors to enhance our provision
