About this Role




City of Peterborough Academy is seeking a highly organised and proactive

Senior Administrative Assistant

to lead the operational management of our front office function. This pivotal role supports the PA to the Principal and, in turn, the Senior Leadership Team in all administrative matters related to the management of the Academy.




You will be the primary point of contact for all aspects of office management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and a welcoming front-of-house experience for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the daily operations of the Academy's front office and reception team Provide high-level administrative support to the PA to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team Act as Assistant Clerk to the Academy Advisory Council, supporting governance processes Serve as the Academy's Health & Safety Contact, ensuring compliance and coordination Maintain efficient office systems, procedures, and communications Support the coordination of meetings, events, and correspondence Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role

What We're Looking For



Proven experience in administrative or office management roles, ideally within an educational setting Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving Familiarity with safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems
