We are looking to welcome a Senior Administrator to join our friendly team.
Bangholm Medical Centre is a busy & thriving inner city medical practice located in the North West district of Edinburgh situated within the Trinity & Inverleith area. Our list size is approximately 12,000 at present and we are continuing to grow.
We use Vision and Docman systems, and Near Me technology for video telehealth.
Our clinical Staff comprise of 5 partners and 4 salaried doctors, a Physicians Associate, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
We also have a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician and a Community Link Worker. We have close ties to our district nurses and health visitors who are located within the practice. We regularly host final year medical students.
We like to think of ourselves as a caring, approachable and friendly practice and we work hard to find ways improve access for our patients and raise community awareness. We have a strong emphasis on being supportive, flexible & open minded with our staff.
Duties include (but not limited to):
Assisting the Acting Practice Manager in day to day in the management of the Practice
Financial planning & management
HR - including recruitment, appraisal, etc.
Complaints handling
Whilst experience is not essential, it is desirable along with a working knowledge of the Vision and Docman systems.
Salary:
Dependent on experience & skills.
Hours:
This is a full time position (37.5hrs) worked over five days, Monday to Friday.
Preferred working hours would be Monday-Tuesday (10:00-18:00) and Wednesday-Friday(07:30-15:30), but these working day hours can be discussed at the interview.
Part time hours pay be considered.
This post is to assist the Acting Practice Manager with the day to day running of the Practice, whilst our Practice Manager is on maternity leave until summer 2026. There is a possibility this post may become permanent.
