Join our Legal and Governance team as a Senior Lawyer specialising in Adult Social Care. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home, with weekly visits to the office and necessary attendance at court and committee meetings. Day-to-day of the role:
Lead and manage a team of Lawyers, Professional Officers, and Assistant Professional Officers.
Ensure the quality and integrity of legal work delivered within Adult Social Care.
Allocate, supervise, and deliver complex, high-profile legal matters.
Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency within the team.
Recruit, train, and develop your team to meet service and business goals.
Provide expert advocacy and representation at court, committees, boards, and panels.
Collaborate across the Legal Leadership Team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective legal services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A recognised legal qualification (Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEX) with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience.
Proven ability to lead and manage a legal team in a complex public sector environment.
Deep understanding of adult social care law and statutory services.
Strong skills in legal risk assessment, case management systems, and delivering high-quality, value-led legal services.
Excellent communication skills across all mediums, with the ability to advocate and represent effectively.
A track record of recruiting, developing, and inspiring legal professionals to achieve service and business goals.
A passion for public service and a drive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable adults.
