Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Qualified Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to create a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role is pivotal in supporting the development of children in our care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and educational growth.

Working pattern;

Monday to Thursday

7:30 - 9am

2:30 - 5:30pm

Friday

7:30 - 9am

12 - 4pm

Holiday club time hours can differ. We are open Monday - Thursday 8am - 5:30pm.

Duties

Provide high-quality childcare in primary school age education in accordance with the relevant frameworks. Supporting the manager with the running of the service. Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to explore and play. Observe and evaluate children's play and promote the use of their voices to offers of play opportunities. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure effective assistant management of the club setting. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and well-being. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 3 or equivalent). Experience working with children in a childcare environment. Strong leadership skills to run club in absence of management. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A background in childcare experience is highly desirable. A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their development.
