If you're a creative organiser, this exciting new role invites you to bring people together at impactful events that spark lasting connections across our global alumni network. Reporting to the Alumni Engagement Manager, the Senior Alumni Engagement Officer will lead on the planning, coordination and delivery of a vibrant global alumni events programme, both in the UK and overseas. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening the lifelong relationship alumni have with the University, creating high-quality, engaging events that foster connection, advocacy and ongoing philanthropy.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering an annual alumni events plan, working collaboratively across the University to identify and support event opportunities for alumni that align with institutional priorities. This will include:
Managing logistics, marketing and delivery of all alumni event types (eg reunions, networking receptions, virtual gatherings)
Creating targeted marketing campaigns for alumni events via email, digital, web and social media channels
Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on event success, and using insight to continuously improve the programme
You will bring:
Proven experience in planning and delivering successful events
Excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
A creative but detail-focused approach, with strong marketing flair and digital literacy
The confidence to work with senior stakeholders, external partners and alumni volunteers
A proactive, self-motivated working style, able to lead independently while collaborating effectively within a team
