Senior Analyst



Salary: 39,813 - 42,897



Role Purpose:



You will assist in the coordinating and managing of the activities of Intelligence Analysts within Crime Services, and ensure a corporate approach to intelligence analysis is being adopted across the force. You will responsible for the production of high quality strategic and tactical analysis products in line with the National Intelligence Model identify targets, intelligence gaps and emerging trends. You need to act as a point of expertise for analysis across the force and fully deputise for the Head of Crime and Intelligence Analysis where necessary. To keep abreast of and research new developments in the field. To communicate the findings of complex strategic and tactical analysis products to a range of audiences including Command Team level. To coordinate the information technology systems supporting intelligence analysis in order to ensure the production of quality intelligence and analysis products in line with the National Intelligence Model.

Core Skills:



Excellent organisational skills, together with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience of presenting information to senior officers. Possess an awareness of police tactics. Proven ability to work as an effective member of a team. Possess an excellent knowledge of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and a desire to implement its principals. The use of IT to an intermediate level including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Relevant experience of intelligence analysis preferably obtained within law enforcement environment, or the ability to show outstanding potential in this profession. A track record of carrying out analysis and writing analytical reports, with demonstrable experience of conducting qualitative and statistical data analysis is essential. An ability to interpret and analyse data and a multi-disciplinary orientation. Experience of management or the ability to show potential management skills commensurate with the grade and requirements of this post.
