This position is critical within the Data & Analytics team, focusing on developing analytics solutions that

primarily support financial management while integrating legal matter data.



The role will work primarily with IBM TM1 while expanding capabilities into Power BI to reach wider audiences and deliver performance-focused insights. This position plays a vital part in transforming financial data into actionable business intelligence across the firm.



The Senior Analytics Developer will design, develop and optimise analytics solutions that address complex financial and matter-related reporting needs. This includes creating robust data models, implementing efficient data processes, and building intuitive dashboards.



The role will bridge technical expertise with financial knowledge to deliver solutions that enable data driven decision making throughout the organisation, while supporting the transition to self-service

analytics capabilities.

What you will be doing:



Data Architecture & Administration

Design and develop models in IBM TM1 and Power BI Create and maintain data models that integrate multiple financial data sources Implement data quality controls and validation processes + Write complex SQL queries to access and transform financial data + Optimise existing models for better performance and usability

Analytics & Reporting

Build interactive dashboards that translate financial and matter related data into actionable insights Develop standardised reporting templates for finance and commercial teams Create custom scalable calculations and metrics based on financial requirements Automate routine reporting processes to improve efficiency Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports


Agile Delivery & Project Management

Work within Scrum methodology to deliver BI solutions Manage backlog items using Azure DevOps Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives o Track progress through DevOps Document technical solutions



Business Partnership & Support


Work closely with finance and commercial managers to understand reporting needs Translate business requirements into technical solutions Support partners in accessing combined financial and matter data Provide training and documentation for self-service analytics tools Troubleshoot data and reporting issues


What you will need:





Strong SQL skills with ability to write and optimise complex queries Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools Solid understanding of financial concepts, metrics, and reporting structures Knowledge of data modelling and database design principles Experience working in professional services or legal environments preferred Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities IBM TM1 experience beneficial but not required if experienced with similar planning tools Bachelor's degree in finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience in analytics development or similar role Deep understanding of financial data structures and reporting requirements Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business functions Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality Self-motivated with ability to manage competing priorities Proactive approach to process improvement and optimisation Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork orientation Adaptable to changing business needs and technical requirements
