Senior Accounts Payable Clerk - Professional Services
Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working)
Salary: 35,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting for a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join a well-established professional services firm based in Leeds. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work in a high-performing finance team, contributing to the ongoing development and efficiency of the Accounts Payable function.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Accounts Payable Team Leader in identifying and implementing process improvements across the AP function.
Accurately process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and disbursements, ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures.
Handle complex and high-volume queries, working collaboratively with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve issues efficiently.
Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliation tasks.
Act as a point of escalation for the team and contribute to training and mentoring junior colleagues.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally within a professional services environment.
Strong working knowledge of disbursements and their application within AP processes.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Confident communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Competence in using financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
