Senior Assistant Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled & practical assistant accountant to join our client\'s team in Callington, Cornwall. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring data accuracy for all the businesses in the UK wide group. You will also be required to analyse data and reports and measure trends in financial information to be used in reports for other areas of the business. If you are a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented Financial Accountant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance in preparation of monthly business accounts for review
- Balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of control packs for review
- Prepare and post prepayments
- Record entries for depreciation, amortisation and all entries related to non-current assets
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Record accruals for recurring expenses
- Weekly cashflow forecasting
- Support other team members regarding specific finance queries e.g. VAT queries
- Processing of expenses and reconciliation of credit card expenditure
- Contribute to the audit process
- A minimum of AAT Level 4 (AAT qualified desirable) or previous experience of working within a finance team at a similar level.
- MS Dynamics AX experience (desirable)
