There is strong collaboration with teams in London and Manchester with matters being resourced seamlessly between our three UK offices, drawing on different practices and skills in our various locations.

Your role would be to:



Lead on investment sales and purchases of a broad range of assets for a wide range of clients. Advise on the full range of asset management matters ranging from strategic landlord and tenant work to large scale redevelopments (depending on your areas of expertise). Assist with financing and corporate transactions working with specialist real estate finance lawyers and our corporate teams. Develop and deepen client relationships, for clients ranging from private equity funds, property companies and our annuity clients (such as the Crown Estate and Great Portland Estates). You will have the opportunity to take a lead role in our client teams both developing the client relationship and managing the BCLP client service delivery. Depending on your interests and experience, get involved in our sector and specialist experience teams to continue to develop your own expertise and share knowledge with colleagues. Support the Partners and other senior team members in Southampton with the supervision and development of more junior lawyers.


Skills and experience required:



Good transactional real estate experience across a wide range of commercial real estate investment and potentially development work. Flexibility and adaptability to allow you to manage your work proactively in a high paced environment. Commercial focus with a knowledge of key areas of the law and ability to provide high quality, clear, concise and practical advice. Strong team and collaboration skills to work with colleagues across the firm on client and transaction teams. An enthusiasm to work with more junior colleagues to manage transactions effectively and develop their skills. A willingness to continue to learn to grow your own legal skills and knowledge (within a supportive team environment).
