Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Professional to support and enhance our mission-critical systems with a focus on financial (systems) and cybersecurity infrastructure. This role is pivotal in maintaining system integrity, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and defending against evolving cyber threats.

Systems engineering



Provide tier 3 support for complex infrastructure and application issues. Design, implement, and maintain high-availability systems for financial platforms. Perform system performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing. Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting tools.

Financial systems support



Manage and support financial applications such as ERP systems and reporting tools. Ensure systems meet security standards. Collaborate with finance and audit teams to support secure data flows and reporting.

Cybersecurity operations



Maintain endpoint protection, SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch management, and threat mitigation. Support incident response, forensic investigations, and security audits. Enforce identity and access management (IAM) policies and multi-factor authentication.

Desktop and systems support



Provide first and second-line support for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices (Windows, iOS, Android). Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems. Maintain asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of incidents and resolutions. Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and recovery. Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.

Requirements



5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 2 years in financial and cybersecurity environments. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, DNS, and DHCP. Experience with financial platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials, Bloomberg) and security tools (e.g., Sophos, Arctic Wolf, Egress). Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Familiarity with compliance frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR. Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to support. Strong organisational and documentation skills. Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Experience with zero trust architecture, and data loss prevention (DLP). Strong scripting and automation skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation abilities. End user compute/financial & cybersecurity systems
