Join one of the UK's leading agricultural property teams as a Senior Associate in our London office.
The role
We are looking for a Real Estate solicitor to join our Real Estate (Agriculture) practice as a Senior Associate. You will be based in our London office and will join one of the largest specialist agricultural property teams in the UK, dealing with a varied range of matters including many of the highest value and most complex deals nationally.
This role will be working in both the Food and Agribusiness and Private Wealth sectors where you will undertake a wide range of Real Estate work including:
Investment sales/purchases and development projects for clients such as corporate landowners, education clients and charitable institutions
Sale and purchase of agricultural land, farms and estates
Sale, purchase and leases of equestrian properties
Agricultural and business tenancies
Farming partnerships
Renewable energy projects
Mineral leases
Refinancing transactions for landowners and businesses operating in the rural sector.
Our clients are Universities and Oxbridge Colleges, corporate landowners, charities, pension funds, national farming businesses, investors in land, trustees and owners of prestigious landed estates. The caseload will be varied and challenging, offering a diverse mixture of work with direct contact with clients and agents from the start. The nature of the work and the clients concerned encourages the development of long-lasting and fulfilling relationships with both clients and their agents.
The role will require you to be able to manage and run complex hybrid promotion schemes, acquisitions and disposals of estates and strategic land whilst having a working knowledge of the relevant tax issues involved.
You will work with Partners Paddy Lynam and Michael Aubrey and a wider team who focus on the Food and Agribusiness sector. The team is part of the wider cross office Real Estate NSL, headed up by Partner, Vincenzo Maggio.
The person
We are looking for someone 5 PQE and above with real estate experience gained in a large regional or City law firm.
