This role is for someone who is looking to make a real investment in their career. Reporting to the Payment Resolutions Manager, and working alongside the Billing team, they will be required to follow debt recovery and prevention procedures to minimise bad debt. Every customer situation is different, and the role will require a high degree of adaptability, sensitivity towards consumers, balanced with an ability to negotiate and reduce arrears. The post provides an opportunity for a self-starter to contribute to a new company and expand their knowledge as we grow and implement new systems.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Managing customer cases referred from Sales / Customer Services
Working with internal departments to resolve complex accounts issues & disputes blocking payment
Chasing overdue payments via telephone, email and text
Negotiating payment plans and managing through to completion
Managing customer debt with sensitivity and in line with vulnerable customer policy and Ofcom regulations
Processing payment and management of allocations
Administering financial transactions accurately
Managing Direct Debits & following up on cancellations / failures
Producing & analysing reports for customer specific collections activities
Assist the billing team with administrative tasks when required
Maintaining accurate records, data integrity within the systems, and maintain full compliance with data protection regulations.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
At least two year's recent experience in a Credit Control position managing residential and commercial customers
Proven experience in dealing with complex customer account queries
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in demanding situations
Ability to adapt to new systems
Manage changing priorities within tight deadlines while ensuring quality output
Exemplary listening and negotiation skills
Confidence to assert yourself in a professional manner.
