We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join Talbots as a Senior Trusts and Estates Lawyer. To be successful, you will have previous experience in developing and building a successful Trusts and Estates offering within the Shropshire area.
As a Senior Associate in our Trusts and Estates Department, you will be expected to undertake a full range of wills, trusts and estates work on behalf of private clients whilst being involved with business development activities and supporting the Head of Department alongside other Directors with assisting with the ongoing training and development of the team.

What the job includes:
To grow and manage a varied caseload advising clients on a full range of associated matters across the Trusts and Estates portfolio.
Drafting and reviewing documents and advising on a range of matters to include wills, powers of attorney, estate administration, Deeds of Variation and trust related work.
Support colleagues within the department, liaising with existing and new clients, working efficiently, effectively and professionally.
Champion business development activity will include networking, strengthening existing client relationships and winning new business.
What you need:
To be either Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 5 year post qualified experience within a Trusts & Estates Department;
Passionate about providing outstanding client care and service.
Extensive knowledge in inheritance tax, trust and estates taxation, including establishing, administrating and terminating trusts and settlements.
Accurate and articulate in written and spoken communication with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management as well as being proficient in a variety of IT software, including all MS Office applications.
Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
