Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Bar Staff member to join our vibrant team in our Sports Bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in bar service, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. This role requires a blend of technical skills, customer service expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Two shifts per week to start, Tuesday evenings 6-11pm

Sundays 8am-2pm or 11:30-5:30

Must be flexible, one weekend shift is compulsory and we are open during bank holidays so please bear this in mind before applying.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including beer, wines, and soft drinks, adhering to established standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders accurately, and responding to inquiries promptly. Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior bar staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service and ensure timely delivery of orders.

Skills

Strong background in hospitality with a focus on customer satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain high hygiene standards. Proficient in serving techniques and beverage preparation. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is essential. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment. A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team dynamic.
