Ricoh is seeking aSenior Bid Manager within our Global Major Accounts (GMA) team, who will not only lead the end?to?end bid lifecycle but also excel in crafting clear, compelling, high?impact written content that wins business. This role is pivotal in securing new revenue, retaining key global clients, and driving strategic growth across our major accounts portfolio.

What you will be doing


Core Bid Leadership




Own and manage the complete bid process from qualification to submission. Lead the Bid Qualification Process and drive Go/No?Go decisions based on strategic alignment. Form and manage virtual bid teams, coordinating SMEs, running kick?off sessions, and ensuring all actions and milestones are delivered on time. Develop and maintain robust bid plans aligned to customer deadlines and governance frameworks.

Content Development & Writing Excellence




Review tender documents to extract client needs

, identify risks, and translate complex requirements into clear written responses.

Write high-quality proposal content

, adapting boilerplate materials and developing new, persuasive narrative where none exists.

Craft bespoke, well?structured, and engaging submission sections

that articulate value, differentiation, and win themes.

Edit and refine all proposal inputs

, ensuring consistency in tone, clarity, and messaging resulting in polished, cohesive documents that resonate with evaluators.

Transform technical input from SMEs

into customer-friendly, compelling content that strengthens Ricoh's positioning.

Collaboration & Governance




Coordinate cross?functional teams across sales, marketing, finance, legal, and technical functions to deliver integrated, compliant proposals across regions. Coach and collaborate with Bid Coordinators as needed. Capture, track, and mitigate risks through structured RAID reporting. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the bid process.

Post?Submission




Manage clarifications, presentations, and negotiation activities through to contract award. Support sales teams in developing client presentations and participate in pitches where appropriate

You will ideally have


A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A strong track record as a Bid Manager or similar role, ideally within global or enterprise environments.

Demonstrable experience in writing high?quality proposals

in deadline?driven, client?facing settings. Experience in digital services (IT, telecoms, AV, software, data centres, security) would be advantageous. Knowledge of how clients evaluate bidders and experience improving bid processes or best practices. Fluency in written and spoken English at a professional level; additional European languages are a plus. Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple bids concurrently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively. Effective collaboration skills across diverse teams and strong analytical/problem?solving abilities. Any formal process or project management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, Six Sigma, Agile) are beneficial.
