We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and reconciliation
Assist with accounts receivable and ensure proper recording of transactions
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts regularly
Prepare financial reports and statements for management review
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents
Monitor compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper within a professional environment
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms
Strong understanding of accounting principles, especially related to accounts payable and receivable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Relevant qualifications or certifications in accounting or finance are preferred but not essential
