Role Summary

Developing and publishing cut-through content and collateral, managing the brand, channels, sponsorships and partnerships.

Overview of Marex / Department description

Marex has unique access across markets with significant share globally both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.

The Corporate Affairs team protects and promotes Marex\'s reputation externally and internally by engaging with potential and existing employees, clients, and investors, as well as other stakeholders and the broader community.

Overall Responsibilities

1. Channel strategy and governance

  • Leads and develops strategy for the Group\'s digital footprint and channels, working with the broader Corporate Affairs team and IT:
  • Defining the role of each channel in building and protecting reputation.
  • Identifying clear goals, objectives and KPIs.
  • Outlining how each channel should be leveraged to best advantage.
  • Specifying what content and in what format will resonate with different audiences.
  • Developing a governance framework including visual identity and tone of voice guidelines, rules of engagement, accountabilities, authorities and sign-off procedures.
2. Content and channel management
  • Leads the development of a dynamic content and publishing strategy and plan for Group channels, working with corporate affairs colleagues.
  • Establishes and leads an Editorial Board as a regular forum for generating and planning ideas aligned with core themes, campaigns, corporate reputation and the master planning grid.
  • Creates and publishes unmissable, dynamic content that brings internal and external messages to life through a range of formats and assets (features, vlogs, blogs, videos, infographics, etc.
  • Ensures channel content is kept up to date.
  • Ensures channels are populated with a regular drum beat of stories, news and features, aligned with the content strategy and plan.
  • Develops and produces high impact presentations.
  • Manages the design and production of corporate collateral and works the broader team to create the Annual Report and Sustainability Report.
3. Sponsorship and Events
  • Supports the Events Manager to elevate content to build the Group\'s leadership credentials and drive advocacy.
  • Identifies appropriate sponsorships and partnerships for the business to enhance profile.
4. Planning
  • Ensures effective processes and tools are established (including a master planning
grid) to plan, track and traffic control corporate affairs activities.

5. Digital brand & assets library
  • Ensures the business has access to a user-friendly on-line brand and asset library.
6. Measurement
  • Uses analytics and metrics to maximise impact and reach, and evaluate performance.
7. IT relationship
  • Manages the relationship and service agreement with IT.

Overall Accountabilities
  • Lead the end-to-end creation of our content including reviewing briefs, storyboarding, script writing, editing and publishing.
  • Work closely with Corporate Affairs colleagues and with Business Leaders to understand their objectives and build coordinated content plans which bring our business messages to life.
  • Overall responsibility for social media output and calendar.
  • Establish a content strategy for which type of messages and content formats (video, graphics, animation, imagery, copy) are most effective on which of our channels - both digital and traditional to maximise reach, encourage engagement.
  • Lead the Content Team, collaborate with in-house graphic design team and handle our relationships with external partners including creative agencies and third-party analytics solutions.
  • Support the wider team on the delivery of our digital and in-person events.
  • Champion our brand guidelines to ensure we\'re all communicating consistently as Marex.
  • Make data-led decisions to continuously improve our Corporate Affairs strategy and drive results.
  • Maintain strong links with the wider Corporate Affairs Team and across the business to ensure a regular flow of stories, news and features for our channels.
  • Maintain up-to-date digital and channel knowledge and stay ahead of trends, best practice and emerging technologies.

  • Proven work experience as a Content manager
  • Hands on experience with MS Office and WordPress
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics

Experience
  • Experience working in financial services and / or working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • At least 10 years\' experience.
  • Experience in a similar role in a fast-paced FS business or agency desirable.
  • Outstanding copywriting and editing skills.
  • A digitally literate person who keeps on top of key trends and innovations.
  • Able to think creatively and develop innovative content that speaks to, and gains traction with, target audiences.
  • A strong storyteller who is able to develop content for a variety of channels.
  • Multi-media expertise and editing skills.
