Senior Brand Marketing Manager, Penguin Random House Children's (12 Month Ftc)

Nine Elms, South West London, United Kingdom

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Brand Marketing Manager to join the Penguin Random House Children\'s team on a fixed term contract basis, for 12 months. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Do you have experience in marketing for children\'s brands? Are you interested in inspiring families through campaigns that celebrate some of the world\'s biggest preschool characters? Can you find innovative ways to introduce the next generation to the stories that\'ll last a lifetime? If you are a marketer looking for a new challenge and you\'re able to deliver compelling, successful and audience-first strategies for iconic children\'s brands, this could be the role for you!

We make books for everyone, because a book can change anyone. Our creativity is inspired by many perspectives, so we strive for our culture to be one of belonging, where everyone feels welcome and where differences are celebrated. You don\'t have to come from a publishing background or have a degree to be considered - we want to work with a wide range of talent as we find new ways to tell our stories.

At Penguin Random House Children\'s, we\'re proud to be the home of some of the world\'s leading children\'s brands including Peter Rabbit, The Snowman, Spot and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. This role will have a particular focus on marketing activity to support our popular picture book brands, books and consumer products.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:

Working with the Head of Marketing to create awareness of and engagement for some of our biggest brands in order to drive sales of books and consumer products.

Using audience insight to develop, coordinate and deliver creative, consumer-focused marketing campaigns that deliver on key objectives. This will likely include retail marketing, consumer advertising, partnerships, and the creation of marketing materials; as well as monitoring and evaluating campaign performance.

A high level of collaboration with internal and external partners, both locally and internationally, ensuring clear communication and integration of brand, book and product strategies across teams.

Brand guardianship and approval of partner materials, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.

Oversight of brand social media channels.

Campaign budget management.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have strong knowledge of the children\'s IP market and a proven track record of delivering successful brand campaigns that have achieved commercial objectives. Clear communication, a proactive approach to relationship-building and strong organisational skills will be key.

Application instructions:

If you\'d like to apply, please submit your CV and a Cover Letter telling us why you are the right candidate for the role by midnight on Sunday 14th January 2024.

Please note that first stage interviews are planned for Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd January, via Microsoft Teams. Second stage interviews will ideally take place in-person at our Embassy Gardens office near Vauxhall.
