JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a busy and supportive building surveying and architectural design practice with over 20 years of trading experience.
As a Senior Building Surveyor you will manage a diverse workload including building surveys, project management, contract administration and technical reports.
The Senior Building Surveyor role will give you exposure to a broad range of clients across the private, commercial and public sectors, with opportunities to grow your career and progress professionally.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Senior Building Surveyor include:
Building Surveys:
Carrying out surveys, defect analysis and preparing technical reports
Contract Administration:
Overseeing projects from inception to completion
Project Management:
Delivering and coordinating building projects to high standards
Party Wall Matters:
Advising and managing party wall issues
Dilapidations:
Preparing schedules and negotiating claims
Planned Maintenance:
Creating programmes and schedules of condition
Client Advice:
Supporting private, commercial and public sector clients with tailored solutions
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Professional Qualification:
MRICS or MCIOB preferred but not essential
Proven Experience:
A background in professional and project-based building surveying
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of building pathology and construction practices
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal ability to prepare clear reports and liaise with clients
Workload Management:
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
Proactive Approach:
Positive attitude with a commitment to contributing to the success of the organisation
