Providing specialist, technical and professional advice
Generating ideas for solutions and new ways of working, supporting managers to implement continuous improvements
Co-ordinating environmental policy and/or strategy development within SEPA and contribute to promoting improvements in regulation and the delivery of integrated national policies and strategies
Advising strategic and local planners of our policy and environmental objectives and encourage proactive and partnership approaches to environmental protection
Ensure that environmental objectives are integrated into local authority plans and responses to development management consultations including the co-ordination of SEPA responses as required

This is a highly important role within our Governance, Performance & Engagement portfolio, which means you'll need:
Degree / equivalent experience relevant to the role is essential.
Technical expertise relevant to the role
Team / Project leadership and management experience
Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, presentations
Comprehensive understanding of legislation and associated policies / frameworks
