A major global law firm with a sector-driven and technology-focused approach, needs an established Business Development professional to support the Disputes team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis. Ideally based in London, although the firm will consider any of their other UK offices as a base, this role represents a unique opportunity to be part of a team supporting a leading practice with over 250 lawyers, working for large corporates across multiple sectors, major global insurers and some of the largest employers, on often market-defining cases. The Senior Business Development Executive or Business Development Manager will enjoy a broad role that encompasses driving strategy and business planning, managing key sector client relationships and client targeting and advising, supporting and executing pitches. From a marketing perspective, the role holder will contribute to the development and execution of marketing and thought leadership campaigns, lead and organise seminars, webinars and client networking events and provide support on directory and awards submissions. With a proactive and can-do approach, the ideal candidate will have proven marketing and BD experience within a professional services environment, ideally gained within a law firm. The Senior Business Development Executive or Business Development Manager will possess excellent numerical and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with partners and staff at all levels and will be skilled at presenting complex information and concepts in a clear and concise manner. A strong ability to grasp, retain and analyse complex information and concepts will also be key to success in this challenging role.
