This is a key role for someone with proven success in developing business within the security industry or similar service-based environments. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, securing national contracts, and managing high-value client relationships to support our mission of delivering reliable, responsive, and professional security services across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of strategic business development plans across the UK.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in sectors such as corporate, construction, logistics, events, retail, and public sector.
Promote and position our full range of manned guarding, mobile patrols, keyholding, and alarm response services to prospective clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, and stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver high-quality sales presentations, tenders, and proposals that reflect client needs and company capabilities.
Negotiate profitable contracts in line with company policies and commercial goals.
Collaborate with the operations, HR, and compliance teams to ensure smooth mobilisation of new contracts.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline status, and performance metrics using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry regulations to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in business development or sales within the security, facilities management, or contract services industries.
Strong understanding of UK security services, including manned guarding and mobile response operations.
Proven track record of winning and managing large contracts, ideally on a national scale.
Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and deliver against targets under minimal supervision.
A degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is desirable but not essential.
A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK as required.
